On 27 September 2024 we have a very special evening at the Schmiede: one year after his death, we are remembering the great German tenor saxophonist Wolfgang Engstfeld with a concert.
Paul Heller and Michel Herr have put together a songbook with 35 of his compositions, together with Peter Weiss (dr), Hendrik Soll (p), Christian Ramond (b) - the classic Engstfeld-Weiss quartet line-up - and with Bert Joris on trumpet, Paul will play Wölfis tunes. We also present the freshly printed songbook.
