Leon Hattori's Evergreen Forest
With "Evergreen Forest", the young German-Japanese pianist Leon Hattori presents his debut album, which was released in April 2024 on Toy Piano Records. His original compositions are inspired by the North American jazz greats Fred Hersch and Renee Rosnes as well as the formative impressions of his international homeland: Japan, the country of his childhood, and New Zealand, where he spent his youth.
New Faces is the newcomer series in the Jazz-Schmiede and presents young talents twice a month and perhaps the big names of tomorrow!
