Fola Dada
Fola Dada, winner of the 2022 German Jazz Award, embodies a unique blend of styles ranging from jazz to house, which she herself describes as urban-earth jazz. Her music is energetic and tender at the same time, musically versatile and full of charm and class. With humour and depth, she sings stories of life, love, being a woman, being black, being abandoned and being connected in her versatile voice. Fola asks the questions of our time, searches for answers and endures, even when there are none. She presents a touching collection of her own compositions, accompanied by the band consisting of Ulf Kleiner on Fender Rhodes, Tommy Baldu on drums and Joscha Glass on bass.
