Opener:
Anyone who thinks that modern jazz lacks groove should listen to the Andreas Reichel Quartet. Andreas Reichel is now an integral part of the Stuttgart jazz scene. However, he also studied computer science in Mannheim. It was there that he met drummer Johannes Hamm and played his first professional jazz concert with him. Together with two other long-time friends, André Weiß and Jan Dittmann, they now form a perfectly harmonised quartet. Inspired by hard bop and soul jazz, the band promises a concert full of moments of high improvisation combined with a captivating groove. The quartet embarks on a musical journey between timeless swinging music and inspiring sounds of the present.

Every Tuesday: Jam Session at the Jazz-Schmiede. The evening always starts at 8pm with an opening concert set featuring a different formation each week. Afterwards, from around 9pm, there is an open jam session - anyone can come and join in to jam with other musicians and the opening band. Admission is free, so the sessions are also a great opportunity to get to know the Schmiede in an uncomplicated way.
