The duo Almir Meskovic & Daniel Lazar inspire with virtuoso performances that arouse emotions and captivate the audience. Their music combines the rich traditions of Scandinavian folk and Balkan music with influences from classical music, tango, fado, klezmer, Roma music and more. With violin and accordion, they create an unmistakable world of sound that guarantees energetic live experiences through masterful improvisation and a special closeness to the audience.
Almir Meskovic (Bosnia) and Daniel Lazar (Serbia) grew up with the multifaceted folk music of the Balkans, which unites cultural diversity. They met in Norway during their master's degree programme at the Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH) and developed their own musical expression. In an exciting dialogue between accordion and violin, they revive timeless melodies from different eras and styles.
