Jam Session - sewing machine quartet

Every Tuesday: Jam Session in the Jazz-Schmiede.

The evening always starts at 8pm with an opener concert set with different bands every week
This is followed by an open jam session from around 9pm - anyone can simply come and join in to jam with other musicians and the opening band.

Admission is free, so the sessions are also a great opportunity to get to know the Schmiede in an uncomplicated way.

Opener: "Times" marks the beginning of a new era in the ten-year history of the quartet led by guitarist Simon Harscheidt. The nähmaschinenQuartett has now found its sound with its third studio album: the unmistakable duet of saxophone and guitar, carried by the playful groove of bass and drums, has become the trademark of the young Munich quartet.
The composer's overriding goal has not changed since the beginning: the melodies of his songs should be beautiful and catchy. Why shouldn't contemporary instrumental jazz be able to create catchy tunes?
