Henk Kraaijeveld combines captivating music with poetic lyrics and surprising improvisation. The award-winning Dutch singer enchants his audience with his warm voice and his natural joy of playing on stage. For Kraaijeveld, the narrative power of music is essential, as it connects people with themselves and their surroundings. "I am fascinated by our human need to show vulnerability and to be loved as authentic beings with all our possibilities and flaws. This is reflected in many current social developments. I always try to refer to this in my music and my lyrics. You can hear that on the new album 'Patches of Sky'."

Critics have praised "Patches of Sky" as an important milestone for Kraaijeveld, putting him in the same league as jazz greats such as Mark Murphy and Kurt Elling. The album offers a musical freshness that opens up new horizons and impresses with both its original compositions and its outstanding performance.
