Jazz und Weltmusik im Hofgarten
Jazz and world music for everyone!
Four open-air concerts at the music pavilion between the theatre and Schloss Jägerhof. The traditional series has been running since 1978 and in the 47th year of the format, which is known far beyond the city limits, the name still says it all: the selection of bands once again thrives on the exciting variety between contemporary jazz and musical excursions into exciting musical cultures.

Matteo Raggi Quintett
contemporary swinging jazz
Matteo Raggi has been one of the most sought-after saxophonists in Italy for many years. He completed his music studies at the state conservatory in Bologna. He then went to New York and studied with Charles Davies and Barry Harris. His collaboration with jazz greats such as Scott Hamilton, Bobby Watson and Dusko Goikovich - to name but a few - brought him and his smooth, soulful sound international recognition.
La Maga
(voc, ukulele), (git, charango, voc), (akkordeon, flute voc), (perc), (perc, flute), (bass) …
Latin-Folk-World-Afro Beats
La Maga with Peruvian vocals, Colombian guitar, Chilean percussion and German bass and accordion combined with a deep love and passion for Latin American rhythms results in a unique sound that magically transports us to South America.
What unites and defines La Maga's style is her love for Ibero-America. The diverse rhythms they play range from Latin American folklore sounds such as cumbia, Argentinian chacarera, vals criollo, landó, Afro-Peruvian festejo to more urban and modern rhythms. You can also feel their European influence when they play Portuguese fado.
